Learning and support, all in one place.

Every program is built around patience, encouragement, and each learner's own pace, at any age.

Coding tutoring

Coding is a great way to build confidence. You make something, see it work, and feel proud. Our coding tutors use the same friendly, patient approach as Hope Coders, and go at each learner's pace.

Young beginners can start with block coding. Teens and adults can build games, websites, and apps, or learn practical tech skills for school and work.

  • Block coding for young beginners
  • Games, websites, and apps for teens and adults
  • Practical tech skills for school and work
  • Laptops available to borrow [CONFIRM]

Academic tutoring

Our tutors help with reading, writing, math, and science, whether you're in elementary school, high school, college, or going back to learning as an adult. We can also help with homework, study habits, and test prep, like high school equivalency (GED) exams [CONFIRM].

We work with each learner's style and, when people share them, their learning supports, like an IEP, a 504 plan, or other accommodations.

  • Reading, writing, math, and science
  • Homework help and study skills
  • Support for adult learners and test prep
  • Clear steps and frequent breaks

Mentorship and encouragement

Sometimes what we need most is someone in our corner. Our mentors meet regularly with kids, teens, and adults to talk, set goals, and celebrate wins, big and small.

Every mentor is screened, background checked, and trained. Mentoring with anyone under 18 always happens in group settings or where other adults can see and hear. See our Child Safety Policy to learn more.

  • Regular check-ins with the same mentor
  • Goal setting and confidence building
  • Support for school, work, and life goals
  • Group activities and celebrations

Family support

When a family is going through a hard time, learning can feel like one more thing. We check in with parents, caregivers, and adult learners, share tips to support learning at home, and connect families with trusted local resources.

For survivors of domestic violence, we take extra care with privacy and safety. You choose what to share, and how we contact you.

  • Regular check-ins with families
  • Tips and tools for learning at home
  • Connections to local resources [LIST PARTNERS]
  • Private, safety-first communication
